Top ten players in the draft at each position – Linebackers

After publishing my top 10 running backs in the 2016 NFL Draft, I did an edition on the best guys matching them – the linebackers. For this segment I left out edge rushers, which I will talk about soon as well. As the game and offensive approaches change constantly so do the qualities linebackers have to show. Therefore the players listed all have very different skillsets.

Update: Also check out the lists on offensive tackles and interior offensive linemen, edge rushers, interior defensive linemen and wide receivers.

With the 2016 NFL Draft just 21 days from now, I decided to list my top ten ranked player at each position and give an evaluation for all of them. Today I’m starting with the group of running backs. Once again the criteria includes playmaking ability, consistency and being on the field. By that I mean players who contribute to their team’s success every week and who make plays in critical moments. Here’s my top ten:

I chose a different way, as I decided to rank my top ten offensive players in the league right now outside of the O-Line regardless of position. My criteria includes playmaking ability, consistency and health. By that I mean players who have been contributors for their teams for the majority of the season and in critical moments. At the top stands:

NFL Power Rankings heading into week 5:

Heading into week 5 and with a quarter of the season already in the books (!) there have been a couple of surprises. I predicted the Ravens to win the AFC, but they are 1-3 right now, the Falcons are two more wins away from their 2014 total and the Eagles right now are at the bottom of the NFC East standings. To find a way to figure out all this craziness, I decided to rank all 32 teams. But instead of ranking them only based on the record, I wanted to give my opinion on who I think has played the best and how they will play from here on out.
