Top 150 prospects of the 2025 NFL Draft:

All my positional draft rankings are now available for everyone to go through and read up my scouting reports on over 130 total prospects. So at this point, it’s time to combine those and create my overall big board, where I stack up all of these players regardless of position.

In recent years I limited myself to 100 names, but always added “the next 30”. This time around, I wanted to expand this thing to some degree, since I’ve now cracked the 350 mark in terms of players I’ve evaluated, but I thought 150 was a good cut-off since that’s around the size of big boards NFL teams also typically have. Beyond that point, you’re more so looking to still address needs and take flyers on high upside profiles.

For the purpose of this exercise, I did try to weigh current injuries various players are dealing with to some degree but didn’t let off-the-field/character concerns affect my rankings, since I simply don’t have the needed insight that people around the league gather through background checks.

Top 10 running backs of the 2025 NFL Draft:

With most of the big-ticket free agents already snatched up, it’s time to fully dive into draft season and begin our series of positional rankings, kicking things off with the running backs! As is the plan with all of these pieces over the next five-and-a-half weeks, I will present my top ten prospects with a compact breakdown of their strengths, weaknesses and context how I personally value them. And we’ll alternate between offense and defense, sort of contrasting their respective counterparts.

There’s been plenty of discussion about this RB class, with people going as far as calling it “generational”. While I believe that’s a bit of an overstatement, we do have an elite name at the top, one that could easily be number one in the rankings for many other years and great depth beyond that.

Let’s break them down:

Top five college players at each position a month into the 2024 season:

We’re four weeks into this collegiate season and it’s time for me to give my annual check-in on who the best players in the nation are currently. My rankings are largely based on the film work I did partially during this prior draft cycle for returning names and studying up during the summer, but also catching up on them in the early stages here. Obviously, I haven’t watched every single FBS game, but a large portion of those, I went through a bunch of the advanced numbers and tried to at least evaluate each of these (and other) guys in one more matchup so far.

Just to clarify, these rankings are concerning the top five players at each position for the college level – so how well they’re performing at right now and how I’d pick them in a team selection-like setting, somewhat detached from their surrounding pieces, as I’m trying to judge them individually. There’s a lot of overlap to how I’d stack the names up projecting forward to next year’s draft already (at least for the guys who are eligible), but I wanted to make that distinction here.

Let’s get into it:
