We’re coming off an eventful week 15 that saw the Jets win their first game of the season, the Patriots ensuring they will finish with a losing record for the first time since 2000, a great showdown between two former Oklahoma QBs and a potential Super Bowl preview with Chiefs @ Saints.
Enjoy the recap and Merry Christmas everybody!!

NFL Power Rankings heading into the final three weeks of the 2020 season:
As crazy as this sounds, we are only three weeks away from the NFL playoffs and the picture is starting to manifest itself. In this breakdown I’m ranking all 32 teams and I use different tiers to describe how I feel about them. While there are plenty of statistics to support the cases I want to make for them, I tried to limit those to a smaller degree, because at this point of the season it’s all about what I have learned from studying them every week and what my eyes tell me.
Here we go:
NFL week 14 recap:
All 32 games were back in action for week 14 and it’s time to recap every single matchup! We had quite a few blowouts, but also another major upset from an NFC East team and what many people have called the Game of the Year.
Top five college players at every position – Defense edition:
Just like I mentioned last week with the offensive edition, I put out my rankings of the top five at every position as collegiate players, rather than solely draft prospects. The criteria remains the same – must have played at three games this season, no season-long opt-outs or players that were knocked by injuries for the rest of the year early on. So this list doesn’t include names like Gregory Rosseau, Micah Parsons or Caleb Farley, which could all end up being top ten draft picks.
Make sure to check out my rankings of the top offensive players and my in-depth breakdown of every game of NFL week 13!
NFL week 13 recap:
Three things really stood about this week – three games combined on Monday & Tuesday, thrilling finishes to the early slate and two major upsets. Let’s recap it all!
Top five college players at every position – Offense edition:
I usually put out my positional rankings at the start of every college football season, but under these unique circumstances, where I personally believed we wouldn’t even see these kids plays, I decided to focus more on the NFL. However, now that all conferences are back in action, we’ve seen all teams play at least a few games and we’re in December, I want to give you my top five players at every single position. As always, in this edition I’m evaluating them as college players, not solely draft prospects. There is enough time in spring to evaluate how their skill-sets will translate to the next level. To make the cut in these rankings, you must have played at least three games this season. So top-five type prospects like Penei Sewell and JaMarr Chase won’t make this list, since they opted out for 2020.
In this edition we’ll look at the offense and next week we’ll shift over to defense!
NFL week 12 recap:
A dozen weeks are in the books now and this past slate featured a bunch of blowouts, as 7 of 15 games (which doesn’t include the Ravens-Steelers matchup) were decided by 16 points or more. Let’s recap what happened!
NFL Week 11 recap:
I can’t believe every team has now played double-digit games and we’ve reached Thanksgiving already. But here we are and week 11 really delivered, with three primetime games that went down to the wire and both marquee games in the early and mid-day window going to overtime!
Enjoy the recap and have a great Thanksgiving everybody!!
Top 10 defenses in the NFL after ten weeks:
Scoring in the NFL is at an all-time high. There are so many young, exciting quarterbacks and we see passing records being broken every single week, especially with Tom Brady and Drew Brees going back and forth for the title as the all-time touchdown leader. However, the best teams in this league still play great defense. Some of them may have the individual talent while others do a better job of game-planning and putting their players in position to succeed, but when we talk about the really special units, that’s where both those things come together.
I want to look at the top ten defenses in the NFL as of right now, which of course is largely based on what they have done through ten weeks, but I try to put things into context in terms of who they have played and how some of the statistics or point totals came to be. And funnily enough, only the very last one on the list is below-.500, while eight of these teams have won at least six games.
Make sure to also check out my detailed recap of week ten!
NFL week 10 recap:
This past weekend included some of the most incredible field-goal kicking showcases I can remember in a while, but also some of worst special teams mishaps. We saw great young quarterbacks battling it out and most importantly, no major letdowns in the big primetime games, like Saints-Bucs on Sunday Night the week prior.
