Once again, we are running through all 14 games from the weekend, whether that was another epic AFC battle between the Steelers & Ravens, the Broncos’ incredible comeback win over the Chargers or the Giants almost shocking the Bucs on Monday Night.

NFL 2020 midseason awards:
We have made it through the first eight weeks of the 2020 season and it’s time to hand out some trophies (not literally of course, since we have to wait until the year is over). I already did this when I predicted the entire season about a week before we kicked things off and a lot of the candidates I mentioned back then, you will here again, but at the same time, some guys have kind of come out of nowhere. For some of these categories, three names were enough, while for a few others I mentioned two more notables. So who have been my MVP, Defensive Player and Coach of the Year, among others, for the first half of the season? Plus, at the bottom I added my All-Pro teams at this point.

NFL Week 7 recap:
Since I already broke down the Thursday Night game individually (and you can check that out afterwards), this weekly breakdown only includes 13 games, where I tried to give a more general analysis on the less noteworthy matchups and really go into detail for the big showdowns.

I decided to change things up a bit this week, by recapping the Thursday Night game right away, instead of including it next week, when it’s been almost a week. Let me know what you think about that idea!
NFL quarterback rankings after week six:
Now that we are six weeks into the NFL season, I thought it was time to rank all 32 starting quarterbacks as of right now. For this exercise, I’m trying to evaluate these guys regardless of the team they are on, while I will bring up the offense they are in and how they function in it, but try to judge them based on talent and the level of play. So I’m not going to hand out extra credit for hitting lay-ups and screens, and at the same time players will get credit for making things work despite bad O-line play and a lack of dynamic play-makers around them. To do so, I created separate tiers to tell how I feel about them and while I try to always put them into context, I will stats to back up my case.

We are back with yet another weekly recap, as we run through all 14 games from week six!
Surprisingly there were plenty of one-sided matchups for large stretches, but we also have a lot of interesting storylines coming out of the weekend.
NFL Power Rankings after the first quarter of the 2020 season:
Now that the first four weeks of the NFL season are in the books and we have a pretty good idea about who all these teams are, while the results may not fully tell the story yet, I decided to put them all in order for the first version of my Power Rankings in-season. Funnily enough my number one and 32 teams are still the same that I had when I put out my list a couple of weeks before the year was kicked off. Once again, I’m not trying to just put these teams in order by their record – for that you can check the official standings on NFL.com – but rather I tried to figure out how I would personally rank them based on the tape I’ve watched and with some stats to help me put it all in context.

Previewing the Chiefs-Ravens week three matchup:
We are in for one of the best Monday Night showdowns I can remember in a long time, as I already highlighted this as the best game of the 2020 NFL season when the schedule came out, and there is nothing that should take away from the hype coming in. The reigning league Lamar Jackson and Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes both have their teams at 2-0 and fairly entrenched as the two elite squads in the AFC, ready to battle for the right to stay undefeated.
Two years ago, the Ravens seemed to have this one in their bag, until Mahomes pulled off some magic on a couple of fourth down plays to still turn things around and last season these two teams went up against each other in week three as well, where the Chiefs controlled the game for the most part, but then Lamar tried to manufacture a late comeback, to make the final score 33-28 Kansas City. Baltimore would lose the following week to Cleveland, but then went undefeated the rest of the way, until they lost in the Divisional Round to Tennessee.
This is the matchup everybody wanted and expected to see in last year’s Conference Championship game and it could easily be a preview of what we see in this year’s semi-finals, with crucial tie-breakers being on the line Monday. In this preview, I will break down both offenses and how they match up with the opposing defense, talk a little bit about special teams and two X-factors for each group.
